What we process and why

Website usage data

When you access this website, technical data is transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer, browser and operating system. This data is used to deliver the site securely and reliably. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure operation of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact enquiries

If you contact us by email, phone or through our enquiry form, we process the details you provide, such as your name, company, email address, country and message, in order to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare a quotation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Business relationships

For customers and suppliers we process the contact and order data required to perform the contract and to comply with statutory commercial and tax retention obligations.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use only what is necessary to operate this website. Where we would use cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary, we ask for your consent first. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Recipients and transfers

Personal data is disclosed only where necessary: to IT and hosting service providers acting as processors under Art. 28 GDPR, and to authorities where we are legally required to do so. We do not sell personal data. Where a transfer outside the European Economic Area is unavoidable, it is safeguarded by an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as statutory retention periods require, generally six or ten years for commercial correspondence and accounting records under German law.

Your rights

  • Access to the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • Withdrawal of consent at any time, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
  • Complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR)

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@jtc-diagnostics.com.

Data security

This website is served over an encrypted TLS connection. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
